------Kalpin, Frances (Marriage - 1923)

One of the prettiest of the recent church weddings took place when Miss Frances Kalpin, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Otto Kalpin, No. 610 Lexington Avenue, became the bride of Raymond E. Reithel, son of Mr and Mrs. George Reithel, No. 222 Lux Street. The ceremony was performed in the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer by the Rev. H. Branson Richards, pastor.

Simplicity was the key note of the decorative scheme, and the bridal party entered the church as the beautiful notes of Lohengrin’s wedding march filled the edifice.

The bride was attended by Miss Mayme Ritz, who acted as maid of honor, and the Misses Myrtle Logan and Lillian Allen, who were bridesmaids. The bridegroom was attended by Carl Herrman.

The bride was attired in white satin with lace and silver trimmings. Her tulle veil was caught with orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley. The maid of honor wore yellow georgette and carried Ophelia roses. The bridesmaids wore pink satin and cream georgette and carried Ophelia roses.

Following the ceremony, a dinner was served to the bridal party and the immediate family in the Powers Hotel. The prenuptial events included a luncheon and linen and variety showers by the bride’s mother, a variety shower by the mother of the bridegroom, a kitchen shower by Mrs. Max Herrman, and a dinner and theatre party by Miss Lillian Allen.

After a western trip Mr and Mrs. Reithel will live at No. 610 Lexington Avenue.
