------Maahs, Anna (Marriage – 02 Oct 1907)

Rev. Paul Wagner, pastor of Holy Trinity English Lutheran church, last Wednesday, Oct. 2, performed the ceremony which joined the lives of Miss Anna Maahs, of Chicago, and Arnold Flentie. The wedding took place at the home of the groom’s mother Mrs. A. Flentie, 551 Congdon Ave. and was attended by relatives and friends of the young people. Promptly at 8 o’clock the bridal party entered the prettily decorated parlor where they were met by the clergyman. Miss Irene Flentie, sister of the groom, acted as maid of honor and the groom was attended by Ernest Kramdeer. The bride wore a pretty gown of white silk muslin and her maid was attired in white Persian lawn. Both carried roses. A wedding supper was served after congratulations had been extended to the newly wedded couple.

Mr. Flentie is employed at Woodruff and Edwards foundry as a moulder. He has made his home in Elgin for the past year, coming here from Wisconsin.

The bride is a pleasing young woman, who formerly resided in Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Flentie will make their home at 551 Congdon Avenue. –We clip the above from the Elgin Daily Courier, Elgin, Ill.
