Hagedorn, Erna (Marriage - 18 Feb. 1925)

On Wednesday, Feb. 18, 1925, a very pretty wedding took place at the home of Mr and Mrs. Paul Hagedorn of the town of Weston, when their daughter, Erna, was united in matrimony with Mr. Richard Schlueter, Rev. Parisius officiating. They were attended by the bride’s sister, Lillian Hagedorn, who acted as bridesmaid, and Mr. Hartwig Schlueter, groom’s brother, was best man. The rooms were prettily decorated in pink and white. The bride wore a dress of white silk crepe de chine and the bridesmaid was dressed in pink crepe de chine.

The bride wore a veil and carried a bouquet of roses and sweet peas. The groom and best man worn brown suits.

At four o’clock a bountiful dinner was served to the assembled guests, and supper was served at about eleven o’clock in the evening. All enjoyed the afternoon and evening to the utmost.

The groom is the son of Mr and Mrs. Henry Schlueter of Belle Plaine, Minnesota. He has been here at times on visits during the past three years and is highly esteemed by all who know him. The bride has lived all her life at home with her parents. She is a young lady of fine personality, and by her training and helpfulness in her parents’ home has been well fitted for the duties that will come to her in her new home. The couple received an abundance of beautiful and useful presents, showing the love and esteem of relatives and friends.

Those from a distance who attended the wedding were Mr and Mrs. Henry Schlueter, parents of the groom, and Hartwig, his brother.

The young people leave this week Friday for their new home in Minnesota, where they will begin housekeeping on a farm. The best wishes of many friends will go with them.
