Crothers were quietly married at the home of the bride's father south of the city (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.), Friday morning, June 20, 1924, the day also being the bride's twenty-first birthday.. Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiated, the ring ceremony being used. They were attended by Mr. Harland A. Kintzele, who acted as groomsman, and Miss Theo Gallagher was bridesmaid. Only relatives a a few near friends of the bride and groom were in attendance. The groom is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Musil of Neillsville. He spent his early boyhood on their farm in Nebraska, where he attended country school. After coming here he entered Neillsville High School, graduating in 1919. Later he graduated from the Wis. Business University at La Cross, and for nearly four years past has been employed in the First National Bank of Neillsville, in which he is assistant cashier. The bride is the only daughter of George E. Crothers. She was born and brought up here, graduated from Neillsville High School in the class of '21, spent one year in Milwaukee Downer College and the past year at the Wis. Library School at Madison. When not away attending school, she had charge of the work in her father's home. The young couple left soon after the ceremony for a few days auto trip in the lake region of Northern Wisconsin. The groom's parents expect to go to Nebraska in a few weeks to make their home for some time, and the young couple will then take up housekeeping in the Musil residence. |
