-Alyea, Lela (Marriage - 8 July 1925)

An exceptionally pretty wedding occurred Wednesday, July 8th, at the farm home of Mr and Mrs. F. W. Alyea, when their daughter, Lela, was untied in marriage to Clarence W. Fosholdt of Rugley, North Dakota. The ceremony was held at the high noon, out of doors, under the pine trees, in front of an altar rail banked with ferns, and under an arch and bell of white, and in the company of friends and neighbors of the bride and groom.

The nuptial music was played by Mrs. George E. Berg of Courtenay, N. D., an aunt of the bride, and the little flower girls, Margaret Alyea, sister and Dorothy Berg, niece of Miss Alyea, strewed flowers in the path of the bridal party. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Norma Alyea, and the groom by his brother, Howard Fosholdt, and the ceremony performed by Rev. Mr. Walder of Neillsville. The bride’s dress was of white crepe de chine and her flowers were cream rose buds, and her only ornament a string of pearls, a gift of the groom. The wedding was followed by a luncheon, at which the guests sat at tables spread under the trees. The color scheme was pink and white and the tables decorated with roses and a three-tier wedding cake.

Out of town guests included Mr and Mrs. O. T. Forsholdt, parents of the groom, Howard and Harold Fosholdt, Mr and Mrs. George E. Berg and children, Robert and Dorothy, all of Courtenay, N. D., and Mrs. W. P. Wilson, grandmother of the bride, of Lorimore, N. D.

The bridal couple left the same afternoon by car for a wedding trip through Yellowstone National Park. They will be home after August fifteenth at Reegley, N. D., where the groom holds a position with the Security State Bank.
