Elmhorst, Dorothy (Marriage - 22 Oct. 1925)

Mr. Harold Capelle and Miss Dorothy Elmhorst were united in the Holy bonds of matrimony, on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 22, at 4:30 o’clock. The wedding took place at the Zions Lutheran Parsonage, Mapleworks, Rev. Martens, officiating.

The groom wore a navy blue serge satin canton crepe trimmed with silver lace, and carried a shower bouquet of pink roses and ferns. The bridesmaids were Emma Elmhurst, a sister and Edna Elmhurst a cousin of the bride, who wore dresses of orchid crepe de chine.

At six o’clock the wedding supper was served to close friends and relatives, Vera Wright, Helen Wegner and Louise Elmhorst acting as waitresses. The rooms were decorated with orchid and white steamers and wedding bells.

In the evening the couple were serenaded by a large crowd.

The groom is the son of Mr and Mrs. Fred. J. Capelle of the town of Lynn, who moved here from Sheboygan Co. about 8 years ago. He is an industrious young farmer and has won the highest respect of all who know him.

The bride is the second daughter of Mr and Mrs. Henry F. Elmhorst of the town of Fremont, who came from Kankakee County, Illinois in 1920. She is a young lady of fine personality and intellectual and moral qualities. Her home training and natural aptitude fit her well for the duties of her own home. The young couple began house keeping at once on the groom’s home farm.

Their many friends extend their heartiest good wishes for all that is best in life.
