Nitschke, Elsie (29 SEP 1916)

Mr. Arthur Dux and Miss Elsie Nitschke were united in marriage Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 29, 1926, at the Grant Lutheran Church, Rev. Reiff officiating. The bride and groom were attended by Mr. Arthur Seelow, cousin of the groom, and Miss Leonora Nitschke, sister of the bride; Mr. Arnold Nitschke, brother of the bride, and Miss Naomi Schuleke, cousin of the groom.

The bride wore a dress of white moon-glow satin, also a wreath and veil, and carried a shower bouquet of white roses. Miss Leonora Nitschke wore a dress of pink silk and carried pink roses. Miss Naomi Schuelke was dressed in lavender silk and carried red roses. The groom and his attendants all wore suits of conventional blue.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Nitschke, in the town of Lynn, Clark County, Wis., and a bountiful supper was served. About 130 guests were present. The dining room was beautifully decorated in pink, red and lavender. The groom is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. August Dux of West Pine Valley. He grew up at the farm home and has been very active in helping his father carry on the place. He is a young man of fine character, industrious, energetic and gentlemanly in every way. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Nitschke of the town of Lynn. For some time she has been employed in Neillsville; except during this time she has always lived at home. She is a young lady of quiet manner and has received a home training which fits her well for life's duties. She is much liked by all who know her. The young couple will live at the August Dux home, the groom continuing to assist his father in the farm management.

The Press joins with their many friends in offering congratulations and good wishes.
