Surnames: DORST GARBUSH HOGANSON FELSER Source: NEILLSVILLE PRESS (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 03/10/1927 Garbush, Elva (5 MAR 1927) Saturday at 12 o'clock noon, March 5, 1927, Mr. Raymond Dorst and Miss Elva Garbush were married at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Felser, in this city (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.), Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating. Only a few relatives and close friends were present. Miss Thomina Hoganson and Miss Mable Dorst, sister of the groom, acted as bridesmaids. The rooms were tastily decorated in green and white. The bride wore a becoming dress of pale green chiffon with silver lace. After the ceremony a fine wedding dinner was served. On the Friday night preceding the wedding a shower was given by Miss Thomina Hoganson in honor of the bride, at the parents' home, at which many pretty and useful presents were given. The groom is the son of Mike Dorst who lives north of Granton, Clark County, and has lived practically all his life on the home farm. He is an industrious young man of fine character. The bride was brought up in Neillsville and graduated from the teachers' training department of the Neillsville High School in the class of 1925. She taught at Columbia last year and is now teaching in the town of York. She is a young lady of excellent attainments. The young couple will live at the home of the groom's father and will carry on the farm. The bride will continue to teach till her school year is finished. The Press joins in wishing them happiness and success. |
