Obit: Mueller, Joseph ( 1855 - 1926)

Thursday, 04/15/1926 Mueller, Joseph (20 Jan. 1855 - April 1926) On Easter Sunday morning, Joseph Mueller passed away after more then a year’s illness. Services were held at St. Mary’s Church, the Rev. Peter Weber officiating. Joseph Mueller was born in Ehrang, Rhine Province, Germany, January 20, 1855. At the age of 13 he came with his parents to America, settling in Newburg, Washington County, Wisconsin. His early manhood was spent in the roller mills at Bay View and in lumber camps. In 1876 he was united in marriage to Margaret Scherer at Newburg. To this union one son, John, was born, who preceded him in death about three months ago. Shortly after this son’s birth his wife died. In 1880 he was married to Catharine Justinger at Newburg, who died in 1891. To this union five children were born, two of whom preceded him in death. In 1892 he was united in marriage to Mrs. Josephine Hederer. Beside his wife he leaves to mourn his death, two sons, Marthias of Milwaukee, Peter of North Milwaukee, and one daughter, Mary Langreck of Neillsville; three sisters, Mrs. Robert Teatz of Town of York and Anna Pittsley and Mrs. Rose Schultz o Manitowoc; three brothers, John of Oshkosh, Peter of Rice Lake and Anton of Port Orchard, Washington. Those from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mr. And Mrs. Math A. Mueller of Milwaukee; Peter Mueller of North Milwaukee; Math P. Mueller of Madison; Mr and Mrs. John Mueller and Mr and Mrs. Martin Allen of Oshkosh; Peter Mueller of Rice Lake; Mrs. Anna Pittsley of Manitowoc; Mrs. Joe Hedered; Mrs. Chas. Radlinger and Mrs. Jos. Gebhard of Marshfield and Mrs. A. J. Chase of North Milwaukee.
