Mr. Wilbert C. Clare and Miss Gladys Ellen Ure were quietly married on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 1928, at the Zion Lutheran Parsonage of Mapleworks, near Granton, Clark County, Wis., Rev. V. M. Keiper officiating. Miss Ann Sternitzky, a friend of the bride, was bridesmaid and Mr. Melvin D. Ure, the bride's cousin, was best man.

The bride wore a gown of orchid georgette and the bridesmaid wore tan silk crepe. The groom and best man wore the usual dark suits. Mr. and Mrs. George A. Ure of Neillsville, uncle and aunt of the bride, were witnesses.

The bride is the daughter of the late John Ure of the town of Lynn, Clark County, Wis.. After completing the rural school course she entered Neillsville High School, graduating from the academic and teachers training courses. After completing her course she taught successfully in rural schools in the towns of Sherwood and Lynn, and for the past three years had had a position in the Humbird Schools. During her high school course she made her home with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. George Ure, and has been a frequent visitor there since then. As a student in school and socially among the people here she won the respect and admiration of all who she met. And as a teacher has acquired a large circle of sincere friends.

The groom is a graduate of the State Teacher's College at Platteville. He taught Science and was athletic director in Humbird High School and is engaged for a similar position in Elroy High School for the coming year.

After the marriage ceremony the young couple left for a wedding trip to Madison, Milwaukee, Platteville and other state points.

They will be at home after Sept. 4 at 308 Academy St., Elroy, Wis. The Press offers to thes fine young people congratulations and good wishes.
