Obit: Branch, Grace (1896 - 1929)
Surnames: BRANCH ALBAUGH DRESCHER Source: NEILLSVILLE PRESS (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 04/18/1929 Branch, Grace (JAN 1896 - 13 APR 1929) The people of Clark County, Wis. will be greatly grieved to learn of the death of Mrs. Harold Branch, formerly Miss Grace Albaugh, which occurred at the hospital in Marshfield, Saturday morning, April 13, 1929. Mrs. Branch, who was living at Prentice, was taken with an attack of asthma and was sent to Marshfield Hospital for treatment. Pneumonia developed and she lived only a few days. Mrs. Branch was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Albaugh. She was born in Oklahoma 33 years ago last January. When she was a small child her parents moved to Richland Co., Wis., and soon after to Clark County, settling on a farm in the town of Fremont. She completed the rural school course in Heathville School and graduated from the Teachers Training Department of the Neillsville High School in 1926. After a most successful record in rural schools and attending summer sessions in Normal School, she taught in the grades in Loyal with equal success. In 1924-25 she served as Supervising Teacher of this county and won the esteem of teachers, pupils and patrons of our rural schools. On Thanksgiving Day in 1927 she was married to Harold Branch of Prentice, where her home has been since. She leaves her husband and baby son eleven weeks old, her parents, three brothers, George of Shortville, Virgil of Garden City, Kansas, Wilbur of Thurston, Neb., and one sister, Laura, Mrs. Otto Drescher of Chili. One brother died in 1920 and another brother died in France in 1918. The funeral will be held at Prentice, Wednesday afternoon.
