BioM: Hagedorn, Lillian (1929)
Surnames: HAGEDORN MARG Source: NEILLSVILLE PRESS (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 06/06/1929 Hagedorn, Lillian (2 JUN 1929) Sunday afternoon, June 2nd, 1929, at 2 o'clock, Miss Lillian Hagedorn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hagedorn of the town of Weston, Clark County, Wis., became the bride of Mr. Edward Marg, son of Mr. and Mrs. August Marg of the town of Pine Valley, Clark County. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Motzkus, pastor of the Globe Congregation. The bride was beautifully attired in a gown of white satin faced crepe and lace. She wore a veil and carried a gorgeous bouquet of bridal roses and lilies of the valley. She was attended by Miss Hilda Marg, sister of the groom, as maid of honor, who was elegantly gowned in a salmon pink flat crepe dress and wore a bouquet of roses, carnations and snapdragons. The groom was attended by Mr. Herman Hagedorn, brother of the bride. The groom wore a suit of dark blue and the best man a suit of gray. Following the church ceremony, at 5 o'clock a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride to the immediate relatives of the contracting parties. The home of the bride was beautifully decorated with pink and white wedding bells. Many beautiful and useful gifts were received. Mr. and Mrs. Marg will go to housekeeping at once at the home of the groom's parents, where he has lived all his life. He deserves our hearty congratulations for having won a bride of so many fine personal qualities and also an accomplished housekeeper. The success and future happiness of this estimable couple seem assured. In the evening about 200 people serenaded them with some very fine (Katzen) music. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Marg gave the serenaders a free wedding dance at the Globe Hall on Tuesday evening.
