Irish, Mary C. (19 MAY 1840 - 18 OCT 1921)

Mary C. Schoolcraft was born in Southern Canada, May 19, 1840. She was married to Andrew Irish July 1, 1872, at Wrightsville, Wis. Two children were born to this union, Fay of Exland, Wis., and Walter Lee who departed this life June 17, 1879.

Mr. Irish and his family came to Thorp about 19 years ago. Mrs. Irhis was taken with a bad cold a month ago and was only confined to her bed five day, when she quietly passed to the Great Beyond to meet her Heavenly Father, who waits to receive all who believe in Him, and go about doing good with a smile, such as we shall miss from our deceased sister, of the W. R. C. (Women's Relief Corps.). To this order she has belonged for many years, Mr. Irish's father being a Civil War veteran.

There remain to mourn her loss, her husband, son Fay, seven grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She passed away from bronchitis on Oct. 18, 1921.

The funeral took place Friday afternoon last from the M. E. Church.
