OBITURARY: The Lodi Enterprise Page 6, 29 Dec. 1983

S. T. (Shot) Geeslin

S. T. (Shot) Geeslin, 88, of Lodi, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 1983 at his home.

He was born August 29, 1895, at Neillsville and was a Charter Salesman for the Speed Queen Company. Mr. Geeslin was a veteran of World War 1, a member of the American Legion in Portage, and a member of First Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, the former Frieda Carlson; a son, S. E. (Shot) Geeslin of Portage; a daughter, Thane Little of Harlingen, Texas; a step-son, Roger Race of Palmetto, Fla.; a step-daughter, Linda Flentje of Lodi; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister; and a grandson, Daniel Geeslin in 1969.

Funeral services were held oh Saturday, Dec. 24 at the First Lutheran Church, Rev. Delmar Goetz officiating. Interment was in the Newport Lutheran Cemetery, rural Wisconsin Dells. Hamre Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Family Note:

This is the brother of Clara Leone Geeslin Neff, b. 1881; daughter and son of Josephine (Charles) Geeslin b. 1855, state of Maine and passed in 9-March-1927 in Clark County, Wi. The Father being of Clara and S. T. Geeslin; David W. Geeslin of Virginia, b. 1855. Geasling in Death Index for Josephine and her parents being John & Lydia (Turner) Charles of Maine, both passing in Clark County, Wi; 11th and 12th of March 1898.
