-----Brameld, Raymond B. (1898 - ? April 1930)

Raymond B. Brameld, son of Mr and Mrs. T. E. Brameld, who grew to young manhood in this community died Saturday night at Mason City, Iowa, as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident April 15. Mr. Brameld for a time appeared to be recovering from his injuries until an infection developed in the spine which refused to yield to treatment. His parents were summoned from Milwaukee and were with him several days before his death.

Mr. Brameld was married to Gladys Johnson of Sleep Eye, Minn., eight years ago and two children were born to them, Betty Lou, 5 years old, and Margery Jean, 3 years. For some years he has been employed by the Dickenson Seed Co., of Minneapolis and made his home in Mason City.

Mr. Brameld, who was 32 years old, is survived by his family, his parents and a brothers, Theodore, of Milwaukee. J. H. Lumb?ke, a representative of the company he was employed by, accompanied the relatives to Neillsville for the burial rites which were held Tuesday morning at the Lowe Funeral Home with a prayer by Rev. George W. Longenecker. Episcopal Church services were held at Mason City.

Raymond was a young man of likable qualities and made friendships readily, always being of a bright and cheerful nature and a good companion. During his boyhood days he was known to his chums as “Rip” and by that nickname he will be endeared in the memory of those who knew him and shared the days of youth with him.
