Surname: Bieneck, Schwirten, Schlinkert, Lynch, Baumann, Duge, Ott, Grottke, Foemmel, Tews, Ripke -Source: Neillsville Press (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) June 5, 1930 -Bieneck, Anna Rosina (7 Dec. 1853 - 31 May 1930) Mrs. Henry Bieneck, one of the older residents of Pine Valley, died at her home at 5 o’clock Saturday evening, may 31. She had been in failing health for some time, slowly losing strength and for two weeks previous to her death, being confined to her bed. Anna Rosina Schwirten was born in Germany, Dec. 7, 1853. She grew to womanhood there and in 1877 was married to Henry Bieneck. In 1883 they came to America, coming directly to Clark County. A few months after arriving here they bought 40 acres of wild land northeast of Neillsville and by hard and patient work developed this into a comfortable home. In 1906 they sold this place and bought a farm in the town of Fremont where they lived about a year, selling out there and buying a small farm north of Neillsville, which remained their home since. Mrs. Bieneck was a woman who had gone through all of the hard experiences of pioneer life, spending her strength with patient cheerfulness for the welfare of her home and family, but at the same time giving with equal cheer and good will a helping hand to friends and neighbors. All who knew her loved and respected her for her true worth. She is survived by her husband and three children: Caroline Bieneck at home; Emma, Mrs. Wm. Schlinkert, Neillsville; and Ernest Bieneck on the home farm. To mr and Rms. Bieneck, 14 children were born; a daughter, Pauline, Mrs. Richard Lynch, died 12 years ago; the other deceased children died in childhood. Mrs. Bieneck leaves 9 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; also a brother and a sister in Germany. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1;30 at the home and at 2 o’clock at St. John’s Lutehran Church, Rev. Wm. Baumann officiating. The pall bearers are Wm. Duge, Albert Ott, Ernest Grottke, Wm. Foemmel, Chas. Tews, and John Ripke. |
