Jackson, Verna (MAY 1923)

(Westby Times)

On last Saturday at high noon occurred one of the prettiest weddings that has ever taken place in any of the local churches, when Miss Verna Jackson, daughter of Mathew Jackson of this city, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Mr. Harry F. Moors of Loyal, Clark County, Wis., at the Westby Coon Prairie Church, Rev. J. O. Holum officiating, the ring service being used.

The bride wore a gray traveling suit. Mrs. H. H. Seiler, the bride's sister, played the wedding march, and the father, Mr. Math Jackson, "gave the bride away," in the presence of relatives and a few invited guests.

After the ceremony a bounteous dinner was served at the Jackson home. The happy couple will be at home at Loyal after June 1, where they will have their permanent residence, Mr. Moors being assistant cashier in a bank at that place.

We need say nothing concerning the good qualities of the bride, as they are too well known by all who know her. She was born and raised here and has always so conducted herself that she won the high esteem and respect of her associates and acquaintances, always playing well the part of girlhood that leads to true and faithful womanhood. Although her host of friends "back home" are convinced that she has married well they cannot help but miss her and regret her leaving her home circle of friends and acquaintances.

The Loyal Tribune joins the newlyweds' numerous friends in congratulations and good wishes for a happy marital life.
