A very pleasant wedding of two of the leading people of Cottage Grove was an event on Thursday morning at Eugene, Miss Leona L. Meeks daughter of R. R. Meeks a prominent businessman of Cottage Grove, and Sam Veatch, son of O. O. Veatch, one of Cottage Grove's oldest and best known businessmen. Miss Hattie Willits and Dale Hawkins accompanied the couple to Eugene, where Rev. Ralph Spearow of the Cottage Grove Presbyterian Church performed the ceremony at one of the fraternity houses about 11 o'clock a.m. The O. O. Veatch family took dinner with the newlyweds, at the home of R. R. Meeks on Cherry Court. The happy couple will lived in the Silsby home on Adams Ave. and Third St.
