The ceremony was performed by the aged grandfather of the groom, Rev. V. W. Helms. Only immediate relatives and friends were in attendance. Carl Hairgrove, brother of the bride, and Miss Inez Strecker of that city attended the couple. The bride was attired in a beautiful gown of white georgette, beaded with pearls and rhinestones and carried a bouquet of bridal roses. Her bridesmaid wore a dress of pink canton crepe beaded in white and carried pink roses. The groom and best man were both attired in dark blue serge. The house was beautifully decorated in pink and white and bouquets of pink and white carnations. After the ceremony an elaborate dinner was served, a huge wedding cake adorning the center of the table. The happy couple left the same afternoon for a trip to Lake Geneva, Kenosha and Oshkosh, at the latter place a reception was tendered them at the home of Mrs. Lyman Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor are the recipient of man beautiful gifts. They will live with the groom's parents and will be at home after July first. The bride is a graduate of Bellvue, Iowa, High School and highly spoken of by those who know her. The groom is a young man of fine principles and a graduate of the local (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) high school. The Tribune joins with friends in extending hearty congratulation. |
