Surnames: HEATHERINGTON MACK Source: LOYAL TRIBUNE (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) 08/12/1926 Heatherington, Dorothy (24 MAR 1897 - 24 JUL 1926) Dorothy Mack was born in the town of York, Clark County, Wis., March 24, 1897. Her parents moved to Loyal when Dorothy was one year old. She graduated from the Loyal High School in 1914. In the autumn of 1914 her mother joined her father and brothers at Van Norman, Mont. Her she obtained a teacher's certificate and taught four years. In 1919 she took a course in stenography in Miles City, Mont., and after its completion worked in the courthouse at Jordan for some time. She also worked at Fort Collins, Colo., for the Chamber of Commerce. She was married in the spring of 1921 to Bert Heatherington. After living in Forsyth, Mont. for a year they moved to a ranch near Jordan, Mont., which has been her home since. She was operated on for appendicitis, July 19, at Miles City. All hopes were had for her speedy recovery until complications set in and her death occurred July 24, 1926. Funeral services were held at Graves Chapel, Miles City, July 26. All who knew Dorothy as a girl will remember her many winning ways. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. She was a bright student and a favorite with all her classmates. We all feel the truth of the following words taken from a letter by her mother, "We know from the life she lived she is in the beautiful home God has prepared for us all in that everlasting house above." Besides her many friends Dorothy leaves to mourn her loss her husband, father, mother and three brothers: Vernie, Rellie and Wallace , all of Van Norman, Mont. |
