Mrs. Mary Ann Hannah, probably the oldest person residing in Neillsville died Sunday at 1:20 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Richardson, her age being 90 years, 2 months and 18 days. She has a stroke of paralysis the preceding Wednesday and did not fully recover consciousness.

Mary Ann Boon was born in County Derry, Ireland, April 4, 1840, and came to America with her parents at the age of 6 years. She was married to Charles Hannah Nov. 3, 1864, and in 1869 they came to Clark County and settled on a farm north of Neillsville, where they reared their family of eight children, all now living. Mr. Hannah died 23 years ago. Since then Mrs. Hannah was made her home with her children most of the time at the home of her son, Will Hannah, on south Hewett Street.

Mrs. Hannah was a lady of keen intelligence, active in mind and body and took an interest in the affairs of the world even in her later age. She was a woman of the primitive virtues, developed by the experiences of pioneer life. She was long connected with the Presbyterian church.

On her ninetieth birthday the event was celebrated by a large family gathering, which was greatly enjoyed by the aged lady.

She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Wm. Hurlburt and Mrs. Oscar Northup, town of York; Mrs. John Richardson of Neillsville; Mrs. Van Langford, Spokane; Mrs. George Barr, Silverton, Oregon, and William of Neillsville.

She leaves also 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at the Wm. Hannah home.
