MRS. BRADBURY RUN DOWN MY MOTORIST

Victim in Hospital After Accident; Leg Is Broken

Monday afternoon Mrs. E. L. Bradbury was struck by a car at Heweet and Fourth Streets, and was quite seriously injured. Bert Wintres, a farmer living near Columbia, has his car parked on Hewett Street facing south near the corner. He stated the car just as Mrs. Bradbury stepped from the sidewalk to cross the street. Both stopped to wait for the other and both started again at the same time, the auto striking Mrs. Bradbury and throwing her to the pavement.

A litter was brought from Schiller’s store and Mrs. Bradbury was carried in there. Dr. M. C. Rosekrane who was standing near by came in and a few minutes later her husband, Dr. E. L. Bradbury, arrived. Within a few minutes Schiller’s ambulance was ready and the patient was on the way to the hospital at Eau Claire, accompanied by both physicians.

At Sacred Heart Hospital a careful examination was made and it was found that the bone of one leg was fractured above the knee and server bruises sustained on the chest and about the head.

Louis Bradbury drove up to Eau Claire Tuesday, and another son, Dr. Warren Bradbury, came down from St. Paul to be with their mothers.
