Obit: Ley, Minnie (1867-1940)
Surnames: Ley, Kempin, Schmitz Source: Millie Lee Collection, clipped from the Marshfield News Herald Ley, Minnie (1867-May 13, 1940) Mrs. Minnie Ley was born in Germany in 1867 and passed away at the home of her son, August, in Spencer on May 13. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Lutheran church, Spencer, of which she was a member with burial in the Lynn cemetery. Mrs. Ley was, most of her life, a resident of the town of Fremont, her home being the Ley farm, across from the Riverside cheese factory. She leaves to mourn her death two sons, Charles of Fremont and August of Spencer. Her husband, one son and two daughters preceded her in death. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Kempin of Chili, and one sister, Mrs. Tillie Schmitz of Lynn.
