Pietenpol, Rebecca (July 6, 1870-July 10,1940)

Funeral services for Mrs. Henry J. Pietenpol, 70 who died July 10 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, were conducted this afternoon at the Adventist Church, Windfall Corners, Michael Einco of Bethel officiated at the rites, and burial was made in Windfall Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Albert Mabie, Gust Bergeman, Truman Davis, Bert Hayden, Arthur Phipps, and Frank Lavey. During the services a mixed quartet sang “Meet Me There,” “Rock of Ages,” and “Wait and Murmur Not.” Mrs. Albert Mabie also sang a solo.

Mrs. Pietenpol, nee Rebecca Maria Allen, was born in the Town of York July 6, 1870 and was married there to Henry J. Pietenpol Nov. 17, 1886.

Since her marriage she lived on the present Pietenpol place on route 1, Granton. Mrs. Pietenpol, the youngest of six sisters, joined the Adventist church when still a girl. She was a member of the Willing Workers Club.

Surviving are her husband, one son, Floyd; three daughters, Mrs. Harriet Berg, Schofield; Mrs. Vera Kidd, Granton; and Mrs. John (Beatrice) Salzer, Wausau; 11 grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. George (Martha) Miller, Granger, Wash.
