Surnames: Gilbertson, Ziebell Source: Millie Lee Collection, clipped from the Marshfield News Herald Gilbertson, Irwin O. (April 29, 1897-) Mr. I.O. Gilbertson, for the past four years Grantons undertaker and furniture dealer, committed suicide by poison, taking the poison Monday morning about 11:15, and died of the effects at the Marshfield hospital at 4:05 in the afternoon. Mr. I.O. Gilbertson was born in Black River Falls April 29, 1897. His early days were spent in Black River Falls, and in 1921 he went to Neillsville, where he operated a restaurant for some time. while in Neillsville he met Gertrude Ziebell, whom he married. They then returned to Black River Falls where Mr. Gilbertson took up the profession of an undertaker. While living in Black River Falls four children were born to them, namely, Junior, Jane, Clarence and Betty. In November 1927, they moved to Granton, where they have since lived. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife and four children, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Gilbertson of Black River Falls, three brothers......remaining copy is gone.
