FORMER CLARK COUNTY TEACHER BECOMES BRIDE Wanda DANKEMYER Is Married Saturday in Milwaukee

Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, was the scene of a wedding of interest to residents of this community Saturday evening, Sept. 23, when Miss Wanda DANKEMYER, Milwaukee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin DANKEMYER, Chili, became the bride of Elmer H. JOHNSON, son of Ernest Johnson, Milwaukee.

The double ring ceremony was performed at 6 p.m. by the Rev. J.C. MUELLER in the presence of many relatives and friends. Wagner's "Bridal Chorus" from "Lohengrin" was played at the processional, and Mendelssohn's wedding march at the recessional.

The bride, who approached the altar on the arm of her father, wore a gown of white brocaded velvet fashioned with a Queen Anne collar, a fitted bodice with long tight sleeves that came to a point over the hand, buttons down the back, and a long, flowing train. Her fingertip veil was held in place by a "frou frou" coronet, and she carried white chrysanthemums.

Mrs. Mabelle STUMPF attended as matron of honor, attired in a gown of royal blue moire taffeta, on prencess lines, with a velvet bow forming a bustle, from which a full train was draped. She carried an arm bouquet of bronze chrysanthemums.

LaVada DANKEMYER, niece of the bride, acted as flower girl, wearing a copen blue moire taffeta dress, trimmed with copen blue velveteen. Her dress was a miniature of the matron of honor's. A large velveteen bow was worn in her hair, and she carried a bouquet of yellow bachelor buttons and mums.

The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Roland JOHNSON, Milwaukee, as best man. Ushers were Gilbert JOHNSON, brother of the bridegroom, and Carl SPAETH, both of Milwaukee.
