TESMER-SCHMITZ

A pretty fall wedding was solemnized in St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Chili, at 9 o'clock yesterday morning, when Miss Goldie SCHMITZ, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie SCHMITZ, Hammond, IN, became the bride of Robert TESMER, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman TESMER, Town of Weston. Miss SCHMITZ is a niece of Mr. and Mrs. Peter MADLER, Town of Fremont, and has lived with the Madler family since childhood. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Arthur CRAMER of Bakerville.

The bride was attired in a white satin princess style wedding gown with a train. Her long, lace-trimmed veil was caught to a headdress of tulle and small calla lilies. She carried a bouquet of white asters, surrounding cream colored and pink roses, from which flowed long streamers. Miss SCHMITZ was attended by her cousin, Shirley SCHMITZ, Town of Fremont, who wore a peach colored silk chiffon gown over satin, and elbow-length veil, and headdress of shirred satin ribbon and tulle.

The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Eldred TESMER.

A wedding dinner was served to immediate relatives at the Madler home, which was decorated with blue and white crepe paper streamers. Covers were laid for 22.

Mrs. TESMER is a graduate of Granton High School, class of 1940, and Mr. TESMER is a 1937 graduate of the Neillsville High School.

Out-of-town guests attending the wedding were Mrs. Lester O'DONNELL and daughter, Mary Ellen, and Mrs. Howard DEBENEY and daughter, Georgette, all of Hammond, IN; Mr. and Mrs. Herman TESMER and sons, Eldred, Bilford, and Raymond, Town of Weston. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. John MADLER, Mr. and Mrs. Joe MADLER and son, Stanley, and Mr. and Mrs. William SCHMITZ and daughter, Shirley.

Mr. and Mrs. TESMER will reside on the Peter Madler farm.
