Source: Personal news article collection of Millie Lee HARWOOD-DALL On the occasion of the 35th wedding anniversary of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe P. DALL of Chili, Miss Virginia V. DALL exchanged vows with Guy HARWOOD of Neillsville, son of Frederick HARWOOD of Birmingham, England, in a ceremony performed in the parsonage of Immanuel Evangelical Church in Chili at 5:30 o'clock on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 20. The Rev. Philip KOENECKE read the rites. In commemoration of her parents' anniversary, the bride wore an opal pin worn by her mother at her wedding 35 years ago, and the groom wore a ring which the bride's father had made of gold he mined while employed in a gold mine at Cripple Creek, CO, and which he also wore at his wedding. The bride chose a cadet blue costume suit, with which she wore a corsage of gardenias and black accessories. Miss Elmira JUNCHEN of Neillsville, maid of honor, was attired in a teal blue suit with a gardenia corsage and black accessories. Members of the bridal party attended a 7 o'clock dinner served at the Hotel Charles in Marshfield after the ceremony. Mrs. HARWOOD graduated from the Cuba City High School and the Neillsville Teacher Training Department, and taught in Clark County prior to her marriage. The groom attended school in Birmingham, England. He is employed at the Zilk-Villa in Neillsville. They are residing at the home of the bride's parents for the present. |
