Kalsow, Fala (Marriage - 22 Oct. 1931)

At 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22, Mr. Ernest Gloff of Neillsville and Miss Fala Kalsow of Milwaukee were united in marriage at Hope Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, Rev. Philip Lange officiating. The ring ceremony was used. The wedding march was played by Mrs. Lange. The bride was given away by her father. Miss Emma Gloff of Neillsville, sister of the groom, acted as one of the bridesmaids and Miss Leona Kalsow, sister of the bride was the other. Mr. Herman Gluff of Harvey, Ill., cousin of the groom and Mr. Albert Kopp of Neillsville were groomsmen.

The bride wore a gown of white satin, a white veil with cap effect with white rhinestones and pearls, wearing also white satin slippers. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses and chrysanthemums. Miss Gloff wore a peach taffeta and Miss Leona Kalsow pink taffeta. Each wore Moline hand bands in colors to match their gowns, with rhinestones; also slippers to match, Miss Gloff carrying peach roses and Miss Kalsow pink. The groom and groomsmen wore dark blue suits with boutonnières -- the flowers matching in color the ladies bouquets.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kalsow formerly residents here. She grew to womanhood in this vicinity and graduated from Neillsville high school in the class of 1925. She went to Milwaukee with her parents when they moved there three years ago, and has since been employed in that city. She is a young lady of charming personality and has many friends.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Gluff and grew up on the home farm. He is an industrious and upright young man and well like by all who know him.

The young couple returned to Neillsville Friday and for the present will make their home with the groom’s parents.
