----- Fradenburg, George S. (13 OCT 1843 - 29 OCT 1910)

George S. Fradenburg, who made his home with his sister, Mrs. M. Weter, died very suddenly last Saturday morning from what appeared to be pulmonary hemorrhage. He was feeling unusually well the day before and retired as usual. When his sister called him to breakfast in the morning he did not appear. Thinking something was wrong she went to his room and found him dead. Mr. Fradenburg was an old soldier of the war of the rebellion, serving in the 95th Ill. Vol. Inf., and a much respected citizen. The funeral services were held at Mrs. Weter's home last Monday. Rev. J. E. Robeson preached a short sermon to a full house, after which Mr. Fradenburg's remains were taken to the Line-Hebron Cemetery for burial. Thus, one by one, the boys in blue are passing from the battlefield of life to the unknown realties of the great beyond. (Harvard Independent, Nov. 3, 1910)

The above tells of the passing from this earth of the only surviving brother of Abe Fradenburg of this place (Humbird, Clark County, Wis.). Mr. Fradenburg was a familiar figure here up to a dozen years ago, coming to this vicinity not long after the war and engaging in logging operations and farming. He was a man well thought of by all the older residents hereabouts. George S. Fradenburg was a native of New York state, born Oct. 13, 1843, and died Oct. 29, 1910, aged 67 years, 16 days.

Mr. A. Fradenburg was at Harvard in attendance at the last sad rites when held on Oct. 31st.
