Tue., 23 Nov. 2004 Canfield, Darwin (8 June 1936 - 26 Nov. 2004) w/flag GRANTON -Darwin Canfield, age 68, of Granton died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, at his home. A memorial service for Darwin will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Darwin was born June 8, 1936, the son of Robert and Elizabeth (Daniels) Canfield in Granton. He enlisted in the United States Air Force following his high school graduation. After his discharge, he married Cindy Rhodes Nov. 7, 1959; they later divorced. In 1965, he became a logger and did that until he retired. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Canfield, Granton; sons; Vince (Joy) Canfield, Neillsville, and John (Sandy) Canfield, Milwaukee; daughters, Dixie Langrec, Marshfield, and Melonie (Joe) Greene of Clearwater, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He also is survived by two brothers Robert (Linda) Canfield, Marshfield, and Stanley (Nita) Canfield, Granton; and two sisters, Jeanette, Marshfield, and Polly (Ron) Webste, Granton. ---Source: Marshfield News Herald (Marshfield, Wood County, Wis.)
