A-8 ----- Braithwait, Douglas (18 MAR 1918 - 17 DEC 2000) Owen, Clark County, Wis. - Douglas M. Braithwait, 82, of Owen, died Dec. 17, 2000, in the Emergency Room of St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Maurina Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Withee. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. He was born March 18, 1918, in Hutchinson, Minn. He was employed at the Clark county Health Care Center as a nursing assistant, retiring after 26 years. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Braithwait of Owen; seven stepdaughters, Nancy (Ronald) Jirovec of Irving, Texas, Barbara Bush of Withee, Beverly (Chaunce) Bailey of Santa Barbara, Calif., Ruth Rose of Lakeland, Fla., Carole (Robert) Briggs of Colorado Springs, Colo., Caroline (Donald) Pietrowski of Colby, and Kathleen (Gerry) Surges of Pulaski; two stepsons, Douglas Hill of Withee and John (Lynda) Thompson of Milwaukee; one brother, Ross "Sam" Braithwait of Medford; 25 step-grandchildren and 24 step-great-grandchildren. |
