A very pretty family wedding was solemnized at the home of Mrs. C. S. Lane at Hixton, by the Rev. Ivan Snyder, Wednesday, July 10, 1912, at 8 p.m., when her daughter, Miss Clara E., was united in the holy bonds of wedlock to John S. Hoover of New Lisbon.

To the strains of the wedding march played by Miss Myrtle Lane, the sister of the bride, the groom and his best man, Orie Lane, brother of the bride, marched to a beautiful canopy of red and white, and there, under a bell of roses, awaited the bride, escorted by the bridesmaid, Miss Maud Alger of Oshkosh. The ring ceremony was used. Immediately at the termination of the ceremony, the bell of roses showered its congratulations on the bridal couple.

The bride was attired in cream messaline and carried a bouquet of white roses. The bridesmaid wore light blue messaline and carried red roses. The groom and best man were attired in conventional black.

After the congratulations had been tendered, they all proceeded to the dining room where a seven course dinner was served and the color scheme of red and white was scrupulously adhered to.

The bride is a graduate of Hixton High School and of the Stevens Point Normal, and has been a very successful teacher, having just finished a delightful year's work in one of the school of the state of Michigan. She is one of the most estimable young women of the town of Hixton. The groom is a graduate of Lawrence University and a post-graduate of the University of Wisconsin, is a chemical scientist of ability, and holds a position of traveling salesman for a large wholesale chemical firm.

The bridal couple left for an extended trip through the United States via Minneapolis, Duluth and Superior, to the state of Montana, then through Yellowstone Park to Portland, Oregon, and thence to Los Angeles, Calif. After a sojourn in the state of California they will travel through the southern states and towards the end of the year they will return home via the states of New York and Pennsylvania.
