Obit: Dahlberg, O. A. (1846 - 1915)
Surnames: DAHLBERG Source: DORCHESTER HERALD (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.) 10/29/1915 Dahlberg, O. A. (1846 - 21 OCT 1915) O. A. Dahlberg died in a Chicago Hospital last Thursday, Oct. 21, 1915 of heart disease. His remains were shipped here Monday and buried beside those of his wife (Dorchester Norwegian), the Rev. G. L Bursack conducting the last sad rites. Mr. Dahlberg will be remembered by several older residents, as he conducted a tannery here for over twelve years, some time ago. Family Notes I took some photos of the stones for the Dahlbergs that are burried in the Dorchester Cemetery and have also added some photos of the people as well - Anne Jr's marker is only barely visible now. Her obituary says that she died of 'lung fever', which was probably pneumonia. Her mother Anne Sr. died the day she was born which implies that she died from complications of the birth. Anne Olson married Oke Abraham Dahlberg in 1878. Two years and five months after her death, Eleanora Jensen married O. A. on 24 Dec 1891, adopting his four children by Anne. Their first child together, Clarence, lived only a few days (b. 30 Oct 1892 d. Nov 1892) and is buried next to Anne Jr. O. A. is buried next to Clarence. Eleanora Jensen (b. 7 Mar 1873 Valton, WI; d. 5 Oct 1942 Janesville, WI) is the daughter of Andreas Frederick Ferdinand Jensen and Huldah Small, who donated the land for this cemetery. All three are buried in the Greenwood Cemetery in Reedsburg, Sauk Co, WI. Several of her brothers & a sister are also buried in this cemetery. Dan the Tatmeister Family Album
