BioM: Lapp, Goldy (1916)
Surnames: LAPP SCHUMACHER DECKER Source: DORCHESTER HERALD (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.) 11/24/1916 Lapp, Goldy (22 NOV 1916) On Wednesday last at St. Louis Catholic Church occurred the marriage of Miss Goldy Lapp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lapp, to Mr. Peter Schumacher. The Misses Anna Schumacher and Caroline Decker acted as bridesmaids and George Decker and Nick Schumacher as groomsmen. The bride was becomingly attired in a gown of white satin, with white net overskirt and trimmed with beads and wore a veil and wreath. Immediately after the church ceremony a wedding dinner was served the immediate relatives and friends and in the afternoon and evening the invited guests were also given a reception and supper. The bride is a young lady of many graces of mind and person, who is capable of filling the home she will adorn with happiness and will prove truly a helpmate and companion by the husband she has chosen to honor with her hand. The groom is from one of our best families, and by those who know him in this city, he is considered one of the substantial and coming young men of the country, who will make his mark as a worthy son of honorable parents. He is already established in business running what is known as the County Line Cheese Factory, six miles northwest of here. Those from out of town who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Maurer of Kiel, Wis.; Mrs. Mike Goessl of Manitowoc; Mrs. Lena Irish of Washburn, N.D. and the Misses Elsie Blue and Anna Hawk of Dale, Wis. This event marks the most important milestone in their life. Another home is made, a new start in life is commenced under the most favorable conditions and circumstances. We wish them lony life and bespeak for them much happiness. |
