BLANCHE A MOHR

Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon, Feb. 5, 1982, for Blanche A Mohr, from St. John’s Lutheran Church in Neillsville. The Rev. Norman Lindloff officiated with burial made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Mrs. Mohr, 600 W Fifth St. Neillsville, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 2, 1982 in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. She was 78.

At the service, Paul Tess accompanied St. John’s School Choir, which sang, The 23rd Psalm and I’m But A Stranger Here. Pallbearers were Roland Kalsow, Robert Smukel, Herman Moen, Richard Karl, Clifford Winter and Herb Wagner. The Gesche Funeral Home of Neillsville was in charge of arrangements.

Blanche was born April 24, 1903, in the Town of York to George and Bertha (Head) Begley. After her education, she married Fred A Mohr on March 8, 1922 in Neillsville. The couple made their home in the Town of Pine Valley for many years then moved into Neillsville.

Surviving Blanche are three sons, Donald (Mildred) of Neillsville, and Harold (Mary Ann) and George (Sally) both of Eau Claire; three daughters, Ruby (Harry) Ambelang of Neillsville, Beatrice (Roy) Quelle of Oronoco, MN, and Dorothy (George) Waller of Withee; 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Blanche was preceded in death, by her husband Fred, on June 26, 1970, and a brother Archie Begley.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran congregation and its’ Ladies Aid.

Attending the services from out-of-town were, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Lange, Hazel Newton and Charles Newton, all of Fond du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Quelle, Sr. of Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kind of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Rudnick and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Rudnick and Carol, all of Thorp, and Robert McDonald, Plover.
