BioM: Long, Elizabeth (1926)
Surnames: LONG OTTOSON RITZ FRITSCHE Source: WEEKLY CLARION (Dorchester, Clark Co, WI) 06/18/1926 Long, Elizabeth (12 JUN 1926) On Saturday morning at 9 o’clock, June 12th, 1926, Miss Elizabeth Long became the wife of J. Ottoson, at Milwaukee, Rev. Wm. Pickery of the St. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, officiating. They were attended by Miss Anna Long, sister of the bride, and Paul Ritz, a special friend of the groom. The bride was beautifully attired in a gown of white georgette crepe with lace and wore a hat of the same material and carried a shower bouquet of pink roses, carnations and ferns. The bridesmaid wore an orchid net dress with peach lace and carried carnations. The groom wore the conventional blue and a carnation buttonhole bouquet. After the ceremony the bridal party went to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dean where a dainty wedding breakfast was served to them. The bride is the third oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Long, of the town of Little Black, and has been employed in Milwaukee the past three years. The groom is a Milwaukee man and they expect to make their home in that city. Saturday they motored up to the Long home and spent Sunday. Of course the relatives were posted so they all gathered for a reception at the Herman Fritsche home. Mrs. Fritsche is a sister of the bride. Thus they spent a very happy Sunday together. On Monday evening, another jollification was held at the Peissig Hall and the crowd showed how very popular Elizabeth is with her home folks and Mr. Ottoson is to be congratulated on his very wise choice of a life partner. They returned to their Milwaukee home Tuesday, taking with them heaps of good wishes for success from their many Little Black and Stetsonville friends. Mr. John Navatel brought them up to his Hupmobile and Miss Agnes Long went back with them. May long life and much joy follow the young couple through life. |
