Surnames: KALEPP ZAEHLER JUEDES COOK Source: WEEKLY CLARION (Dorchester, Clark Co, WI) 09/10/1926 Kalepp, Friede (4 SEP 1926) One of the most interesting weddings to take place here in Dorchester, Clark County, Wis., occurred last Saturday when Miss Friede Kalepp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kalepp, and Mr. Louis Zaehler of Chicago, Ill., were united in marriage at St. Peter Lutheran Church by Rev. V. M. Keiper, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. The bride was given away by her father and attended by three couples. The maid of honor was a sister of the bride, Tillie Kalepp, and was attired in Mellon. The two bridesmaids, Elsie Kalepp and Mabel Juedes, were attired in dresses of medium blue and orchid. The flower girl was Miss Werdel Cook, a niece of the bride, and was dressed in pink, and carried a basket of pink and mixed flowers. The ring bearer was Mr. Melvin Juedes, a nephew of the bride, and dressed in white and carried a white pillow with the ring on it. The bride was beautifully attired in a white satin dress trimmed with silk lace, pearls and rhinestones. The veil was also trimmed with pearls. Her footwear was silver brocaded slippers with rhinestone buckles, and she carried a bouquet of pink roses and sweet peas. The bridesmaids also carried bouquets of pink roses. The groom was dressed in conventional blue. The best men were Hugo Zaehler, a brother of the groom, and Otto Kalepp Jr., a brother of the bride, and William Kalepp, a cousin of the bride. After the ceremony the wedding party motored to Medford where they had their picture taken at the Dake Studio. A reception was held at the home of the bride where about one hundred and fifty guests were served. After the reception a dance was given which lasted until the wee hours of the following morning. The young couple left Tuesday morning on a short trip about the state which will terminate at Chicago, where Mr. Zaehler conducts a florist shop and they will make their future home. We join with their many friends in wishing them a very happy and prosperous journey through life. |
