(Marriage - 29 April 1933) The Union Church was the scene of a pretty wedding at 2 o’clock Apirl 29 when Miss Evelyn D. Gall, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Joseph F. Gall of Neillsville became the bride of Arman Gerhardt, son of Mr and Mrs. William Gerhardt of this city, Rev. P. B. White officiating. The ceremony was witnessed by 175 relatives and friends. The bride graduated from the Neillsville high school in 1931 and has been employed since as a waitress at the Merchants Hotel where she has won the respect and esteem of both the public and her employers by her efficiency and high character. Mr. Gerhardt attended the rural schools and for several years has been employed by the Fullerton Lumber Co. He is a young man of industry and splendid reputation. Mr. Gerhardt, a pitcher for the Neillsville baseball team and known on the diamond as “Stubby”, has made a name for himself in baseball circles and is regarded as one of the best hurlers in this part of the state. Both the bride and groom have lived in this community all of their lives and enjoy the warm friendship of an exceptionally large circle of friends who join in extending congratulations. The double ring ceremony was used. Mrs. Jesse Scott played the wedding march, “Lohengrin,” and Miss Gertrude Clouse sang “At Dawning” and “Oh Promise Me.” The maid of honor was Miss Dorothy Gault a cousin of the bride. Miss Bertha Stelter was bridesmaid. The bride was given away be William Storm. Arthur Gall, brother of the bride, acted as best man, attended by Paul Gerhardt. The bride was attired in a beautiful gown of lace and satin and carried a bouquet of white calla lilies. The bridesmaid wore a pretty gown of pink satin and carried pink and white carnations. The couple left Monday for a week honeymoon trip to the southern part of the state.
