Schoenherr, Rosa (Marriage - *28 June 1933) * Could be off

Miss Rosa Schoenherr, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Eric Schoenherr, Town of Weston, was married last Wednesday afternoon to Harry Swanson, son of Mr and Mrs. August Swanson, Pine Valley, Rev. W. Motzkus, officiating.

Miss Schoenherr is a graduate of the Neillsville High School and teacher training course. She taught recently at Grandview School where she made an excellent record. She is a young lady of refinement and has a wide circle of friends. Mr. Swanson is a contractor and a young man of high character.

The bridal couple enjoyed a novel and unexpected serenade when they came to Neillsville just after the ceremony. The Chippewa Falls 4th of July booster parade band was playing on Main Street as Mr and Mrs. Swanson and their attendants drove up to the Thayer studio. Spying the wedding party the band began playing “Here Comes the Bride, and followed with “Du, Du Liegst Mier im Heirtzen”

The bride attired in a white satin lace gown, ankle length with a veil of imported lace and carried white and pink roses. Her sisters, Miss Ruth and Ottilie, attended as bridesmaid.

Miss Ruth wore a pink satin ankle length gown with a rhinestone headband. Miss Ottilie wore an ankle length gown of yellow satin with a rhinestone headband. Both of the bridesmaids carried bouquets of pink and white carnations. The groom was attended by Herbert Kurth and Raymond Moen of Neillsville.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents for close friends and relatives. The home was prettily decorated in pink and white.

Mr and Mrs. Swanson left on an extended honeymoon tour through Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois and Mich. They will return July 15 and live in their own home on the north side.
