Dabler, Alice L. (15 Dec. 1913 - 2 March 2005)

Alice L. Dabler, 91, from the village of Kronenwetter, died on Wednesday, March 2, 2005, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at the home of her son, Orville Dabler of Rothschild.

Alice was born Dec. 15, 1913, in Braham, Minn., to Ernest and Delia (Hynes) Strohkrich. She grew up in Withee and graduated from Withee High School in 1932. Alice lived with her parents on their farm in rural Withee until her marriage to Louis R. Dabler on June 1, 1939. After their marriage, Louis and Alice moved to Wausau, where they lived until April 1949, at which time, they moved to the farm in the village of Kronenwetter. Alice was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Wausau.

Alice is survived by three sons, Orville (Elaine) Dabler of Rothschild, Harold (Sharon) Dabler of Schofield and Raymond (Laurie) Dabler of Wausau; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis, on June 25, 1981, her parents and six brothers, Henry, Clarence, Paul, Walter, Russell, Elmer and her twin sister, Myrtle Johnson.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2005, at Hayden-Buettgen Funeral Home, Schofield. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 7, 2005, at First Presbyterian Church, Wausau with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
