(12 MAY 1914 – 22 OCT 1933) HOLD FINAL RITES FOR HAROLD FRANTZ Service Thursday in Zion Reformed Church for Drowning Victim Neiilsville, Oct 27---Funeral services for Harold W. Frantz, 19, drowning victim, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Frantz, Sr., were held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Lowe Funeral Home, and at 2 o'clock from Zion Reformed church, with the Rev E. H. Vornholt officiating. The large number of friends and neighbors of the unfortunate youth filled the church to overflowing, and attested to the popularity and esteem in which he was held in this community. The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful. The Rev. Mr. Vornholt had for his text, :The Lord is my Shepherd" and in his prayer gave special mention to Donald Dixon, the only survivor of the four youths, for his heroic efforts on behalf of the three who drowned Sunday near Lake Arbutus. Pallbearers chosen from the friends of Harold were Donald Dixon, James Sharp, Robert Unger, Dale Seif, Curtis Zschernitz, and Walter Brown. Out-of-town relatives present for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Sam Goddard and family, Fort Atkinson; Mr and Mrs. J. D. Everett, and Shirley Everett, Hayfield, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Ross Lombard, Carol Lombard, Mrs R. Bahlke, and Mrs. H Bahlke, all of Milwaukee; Senator and Mrs. Ed Roethe, Donald Roethe, and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Voight, all of Fennimore. |
