Surnames: BECHERER SCHUMACHER ---------Source: MARSHFIELD NEWS HERALD (Marshfield, Wood Co., Wis.) 03/11/1959; P.16 --------- Becherer, Louise (1 MAR 1883 – 10 MAR 1959) Colby, Wis. – Funeral services will be conducted at Zion Lutheran Church here at 2 p.m. Friday for Mrs. William Becherer, 76, Colby, who died Tuesday morning in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. The Rev. William Christian will officiate at the rites and burial will be made in Colby Memorial Cemetery. The body will repose at the Lulloff Funeral Home beginning this evening. The former Louise Schumacher was born March 1, 1883, at Courtland, Minn. She married William Becherer in Minnesota. They farmed in North Dakota several years and then came to the town of Hull, Marathon Co., where they farmed until 15 years ago, when they moved to the city of Colby. Mrs. Becherer is survived by her husband; one son, Willard, town of Hull; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and three brothers, Otto and Albert Schumacher of Minnesota, and Ernest Schumacher of North Dakota. |
