Tue, Mar 29, 2005 Kaiser, Amanda C. (26 Dec. 1910 – 27 March 2005) COLBY -Amanda C. Kaiser, 94, of Colby died Sunday, March 27, 2005, at her home. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colby. The Rev. John Malik will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Amanda's granddaughters, Marie Flieschman, Diana Yokimcus, Denise Roberts, Anita Zacharias, Michelle McCarthy, Joy Draxler, Sara Blume, Heather Jeske, Margo Kalepp, Melinda Brahmer, Marijo Kaiser and Mellissa Christianson. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Christian Mothers Rosary at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2005, and from 12:30 p.m. until time of services Wednesday at Community Funeral Home in Colby. Amanda was born Dec. 26, 1910, in Wuertzburg to Anton and Alma (Radlinger) Schemenauer. Amanda and Andrew Kaiser were married on Aug. 26, 1931, at St. John's Catholic Church in Wuertzberg. He died on June 20, 1992. They owned and operated Andy's Service Station and Kaiser Oil in Colby. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, food, hugs and her grandchildren. Amanda is survived by her children, Donald J. (Marlene) Kaiser of Colby, Kathleen (Jack) Abney of Colby and Ruth (Robert ) Blume of Colby; her sister, Caroline Schillinger of Spencer; a sister-in-law, Betty Schemenauer of Athens; 23 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Mercedes Barr; one sister, Rose Kremsrieter; three bothers, Anton Jr., Gilbert and Elmerd Schemenauer; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren. |
