--------- Wigstadt, Bertha (24 OCT 1928)

An event of unusual interest to Dorchester, Clark County, Wis. Folks occurred Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. when Miss Bertha Wigstadt, daughter of the late Tom Wigstadt, became the wife of Carl Braun, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Braun.

The wedding ceremony was performed by Rev. P. F. Walter, pastor of the Evangelical Church, at the Wigstadt home. Miss Mable Wigstadt and Hilda Krakenberger were the bridesmaids and Henry Schraeder and Louis Wigstadt were the groomsmen.

The bride was daintily attired in a beautiful gown of forget-me-not blue flat crepe, white pumps and hose, and a daintily shimmering veil, and carried a lovely bouquet of roses, chrysanthemums, snap dragons and ferns. Her bridesmaids, Mable Wigstadt was gowned in a crabapple green flat crepe and Hilda Krakenberger in a rose flat crepe and both carried bouquets similar to the bride’s ad the groom and his attendant in their conventional blue, completed the pleasing scene.

After the ceremony, Mr. Paul Weiher, brother-in-law of the bride, took the bridal couple in his car and Oscar Peissig of Valparaiso, Ind., the attendants in his car and all motored to Medford for the wedding pictures.

After the return of the bridal party a bounteous three course dinner was served to the assemble guests, which were the near relatives of both contracting parties, and a few near friends.
