--------- Fahrenbach, Mary L. (11 DEC 1880 – 23 AUG 1977)

Curtiss, Clark County, Wis. – Mrs. Mary Louise Fahrenbach, 96, formerly of Curtiss, died at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at Colonial House in Colby, where she resided since March 1973.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford. The Rev. Roger L. Tellock of St. Paul’s American Lutheran Church, Curtiss, will officiate and burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery in Curtiss. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Fahrenbach, nee Dunow, was born Dec. 11, 1880 in the Town of Hoard, Clark County. She attended Park Grade School, Medford High School and Taylor County Normal School. She taught in the Stetsonville area from 1899-1907.

She was married to William Fahrenbach July 26, 1904 in Curtiss and operated a livery service in Stetsonville and farmed in the Town of Little Black and Deer Creek. She had resided in the village of Curtiss for 46 years. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Curtiss and its Ladies Aid.

Survivors include two sons, William of Colby and Herbert of Curtiss; fife daughters, Mrs. Margaret Wredman, Mrs. Orville (Lillian) Lieders and Mrs. Bernice Fussner, all of Abbotsford, Mrs. Harvey (Irene) Witt of Curtiss and Mrs. Eldred (Evelyn) Schraufnagel, Sparta; eight grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by one daughter in infancy and one sister.
