Surname: Nichols, Lee, Brenneman, Dubes, Tisher, Longenecker Source: Neillsville Press (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 9 Nov. 1933 Nichols, Christine (9 April 1877 – 31 Oct. 1933) Mrs. Christine Tisher Nichols of Newton, Kansas, was born in Germany, April 9, 1877, and passed away at the home of her sister, Louise, Mrs. Frank Lee, of Granton, Wis., Oct. 31, 1933. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, George Nichols, her daughter, Fern, Mrs. Dan Brenneman, two sons, Alton and Arlie, all of Newton, Kansas, two sisters, Louise, Mrs. Frank Lee of Granton and Mrs. Frank Dubes of Romadka, a brother, Carl Tisher of Kansas, and three grandchildren, Donna, Rex and Richard, and host of friends. Mrs. Nicholas was a faithful Christian, a member of the Christian Church. She was devoted to her family, relatives and friends, but she spent much time doing deeds of kindness and charity for people in need, regardless of creed or race. Her personality was a glow of sunshine. She had a cheery smile for all, an implicit faith in the Lord for herself an for everyone. She was buried at Granton in the Windfall Cemetery, Nov. 3, 1933. Funeral services were held at the home of her sister, Mrs. Frank Lee. The minister officiating, G. W. Longenecker, of Neillsville, also officiated at the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Nichols thirty-two years ago. (Additional Note Follows) Contact - Doris Koch I refer to your records about Mrs. Christine Tisher Nichols, Newton, Kansas. Your records indicate she died at the home of her sister Mrs. Frank Lee. In fact it was Mrs. Price Lee. She had a sister in Granton named Bertha Tisher Dubes (Mrs.Frank Dubes) buried in Stow, MA.
