Miss June R. Fradette, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Fradette of the town of York, on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. became the bride of Frederick A. Wendt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wendt of the town of York. The ceremony was performed at the Congregational church parsonage, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating.

Fourteen relatives and friends of the young couple attended the double ring ceremony. Miss Vera Gower, of Granton, close friend of the bride and groom, was maid of honor and Miss Eva Wendt, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid. Alvin Wendt, brother of the groom, was best man. Mr. Wendt also was attended by Raymond Fradette, brother of the bride.

The bride was beautifully attired in an ankle length gown of light gray rough crepe trimmed with brown chiffon velvet. She carried pink and white carnations, snapdragons and asters. The maid of honor wore green silk flat crepe and the bridesmaid wore brown rough crepe with chiffon velvet. They carried bouquets of pink carnations. The groom was attired in a suit of burgundy brown and his attendants in suits of dark blue.

After the ceremony the wedding party drove to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Fradette where a wedding dinner was served to fourteen guests. The dining room was prettily decorated with pink and white crepe paper and white wedding bells.

Mr. Wendt and his bride are fine types of young people and enjoy an exceptionally wide circle of devoted friends. They are interested in the worthwhile things of life and are an asset to their community. The bride with her parents while the groom has assisted his father in carrying on the home farm where the young couple will make their home.
