History: Shilling, May 31, 1906
Greenwood Gleaner – 31 May 1906 Schilling Station. – May 28 Earnest Vine is putting a stone basement under his barn. Albert Shoetler raised his new frame barn Saturday. It is put on a stone basement. Fill it up with cows, Albert. Edw. Hembre came down from Ingram Friday where he has been at work since last June. He has been laid up the last couple of weeks on account of a log rolling on his left foot. Louis Brandt died Friday night at 10:30, after a long illness. The funeral was held yesterday and the remains were taken to the Greenwood cemetery for burial in the family lot where his father and mother and two sisters have been laid to rest before him.
