Surnames: MILLER MARTINEK FRAUNA BEAVER Source: Loyal Tribune 09 October 1930 --------- Miller, Clara (4 OCT 1930) A very pretty fall wedding took place at Balthasar’s Catholic Church on Saturday at 8:00 A.M. when Miss Clara Miller and Mr. Ed. Martinek were united in the holy bonds of Matrimony. Rev. Father Aurit performed the ceremony. The bride was charmingly gowned in a white crepe satin made princess style and wore a cap effect veil trimmed with orange blossoms and carried a bouquet of pink and white roses. Miss Florence Beaver, niece of the bride, acted, acted as maid of honor. She was attired in a dress of primrose chiffon, also princess style and carried an arm bouquet of rose carnations and white chrysanthemums. Miss Elizabeth Frauna of Iowa, friend of the groom was bridesmaid. She was attired in a dress of peach satin, princess style, and carried an arm bouquet of rose carnations and white chrysanthemums. Both wore rhinestone headbands. The groom wore a suit of blue serge. His attendants were Max Miller, brother of the bride, as best man and Edward Martinek, brother of the groom. They wore light suits. The reception was held at the home of the bride’s brother, to immediate relatives. The room was decorated beautifully decorated in yellow and white. Immediately after the reception they left for a short trip to St. Paul and Minneapolis. The bride has a very pleasing personality, and has a host of friends. The groom is a man of fine character, though not very well known in this vicinity. The will make their future home in Calmer, Iowa where the groom has a prosperous farm. The Tribune joins their many friends in extending Best Wishes.
